Anti-Money Laundering Policy
1. Why we verify
Bright lights, clean money. Every account on our strip belongs to a real, verified adult, and every dollar can be traced to its owner.
Registration opens only where play is legal under local law. Canadian rules on age, identity checks and anti-money laundering define how we operate. Verification stops criminals laundering cash through our tables, keeps under-19s out, and guards your account against fraud and takeover.
- We accept no deposit until identity (KYC) verification and a location check have been completed.
- One person, one account. Any duplicates get closed.
- Deposits and withdrawals go through payment methods in the account holder's name.
- All play and transactions run in Canadian dollars (CAD).
2. Ongoing monitoring
Our checks continue after you are in. Account activity is monitored right up until the account closes.
Patterns that draw a closer look:
- Large deposits withdrawn again after only minimal play.
- Rapid switching between different payment methods.
- Deposits that do not fit a player's known profile.
- Several accounts linked to one device, address or payment method.
- Deposits split into smaller amounts to dodge checks.
- Funds coming from someone else's card, wallet or bank account.
A flag means extra scrutiny, never an accusation. A trained team member just takes a deeper look at the account. Most payment methods usually clear within a one-to-four-hour window. A bank wire can run to 12 hours. A compliance hold, though, freezes that clock. When a withdrawal is held, we tell you exactly what's needed to free it.
3. Records and reporting
- Transaction records, identity documents and our verification check results are kept for as long as Canadian law requires.
- Records are stored securely, with access limited to staff who need them. Our Privacy Notice explains how we protect them.
- We submit reports on suspicious transactions, and on certain large transactions, to the appropriate federal authorities whenever Canadian law requires us to.
- We do not tell a player when a report is filed. The law forbids that kind of tip-off.
- When police or other authorities make a lawful request, we cooperate with them.
4. Identity and age checks
Three checks come before your first deposit: your identity, your age of 19+, and whether your region accepts our players. Most of the time an electronic check clears it in moments. When it doesn't, we ask for documents.
Documents we can request
- Photo identity: a passport or driver's licence issued by a government, still valid, in sharp focus, uncropped, with all four corners showing.
- Address: proof such as a current utility invoice or a bank-issued statement, displaying your whole name and residential address exactly as they appear on your account.
- Payment ownership: take a picture of your card face up, middle digits masked, or screenshot your Jeton or online banking account with the holder's name visible.
- Selfie: a real-time photo showing you with your ID in hand, which we ask for when we must confirm that your face matches the document.
Upload through your account or send to our support email. Blurry, edited or expired documents are sent back, and we request fresh copies.
5. When checks fall short
- No deposits or withdrawals until verification is done.
- If documents are missing, false or do not match, the account is suspended.
- Under our 19+ Policy, any account we discover belongs to someone under 19 gets closed.
- Accounts tied to fraud, identity theft or money laundering are closed, winnings are voided, and we notify authorities as the law requires.
- Bonus funds linked to failed checks are removed under our Bonus Terms and irregular play policy.
We tell you what is missing and allow you a reasonable opportunity to supply it, unless the law stops us from saying more.
6. Sanctions lists and politically exposed persons
At sign-up, every player runs through PEP (politically exposed persons) lists and sanctions lists, with repeat screening on a set schedule.
- Politically exposed persons hold, or once held, a high-profile public position in Canada or abroad: senior politicians, judges or military officers, for example. Relatives and close associates are covered as well.
- Holding PEP status won't lock you out of the games. What it brings: extra checks, sign-off from senior staff and tighter monitoring.
- If a player is named on a sanctions list, we cannot open or keep the account, and we deal with any funds as the law requires.
7. Where your money comes from
At higher deposit levels, or when activity changes sharply, we ask about source of funds, that is, the origin of the money you deposit. In some cases we also ask about source of wealth: how your overall finances came about.
Examples of what can satisfy a request:
- Recent pay stubs or an employment letter.
- Bank statements showing the funds arriving.
- Records proving the funds trace back to an investment payout, an inheritance, or selling a property.
- Tax documents for self-employed players.
Every request is proportionate. We ask for nothing beyond what we need, and the material stays private under our Privacy Notice.
8. Contact
Questions about a verification request or a held withdrawal? Email help@saskatooncasino.app with 'Verification' in the subject line.
If someone contacts you through another channel claiming to be us, do not send them any documents. We use that address and no other.
